| Format SD Card |
At power-on the microSD card is present but a file cannot be written on it |
Format it from the File Manager or on a computer. |
| Charge Battery |
At power-on the battery is below 3.20 V and not charging: the station switches off |
Connect the charger (Hardware › Power and battery). |
| GNSS Failed |
The GNSS module does not answer at power-on, not even after the station tried to restart it by itself |
Switch off and on again; if it persists, contact support. |
| Rover Failed / Base Failed |
The GNSS module did not accept the new mode |
Try again from the button menu. |
| No WiFi |
None of the saved networks answered |
In Config mode the station opens its own network instead; in rover or base it tries again later. |
| No SSIDs |
A function needs WiFi but no network is saved |
Add one in WiFi. |
| Update Failed |
The firmware update did not complete; the installed firmware is untouched |
Repeat the update. |

The page lost the connection
The window Connection to the station lost appears when the page hears nothing for a few
seconds. The page retries by itself and the window closes when the station answers. If it
stays up:
- check that the phone or PC is still on the right network: in AP mode, the station's
own network (phones sometimes leave a network without Internet by themselves);
- check the display: if the station is no longer in Config mode, put it back from the
button menu;
- when the link comes back the station sends its settings again, which may replace
changes not yet saved: check them before pressing Save.
The other windows (restart, out of Config mode, firmware updated) are listed in
Using the panel › Windows.

MicroSD card
| Symptom |
Cause and fix |
| SD card not readable: use Format SD to erase it in the File Manager |
The card answers but its content cannot be read. If it holds recordings you need, read it on a PC first, then Format SD. |
| No File Manager in the page |
No card answered when the page loaded: insert one and reload the page. |
| Logging icon shows the turning arc |
The card is full or was removed, or the station has not yet taken date and time from the satellites. See MicroSD logging › When it records. |
Battery
No position on the display
| Symptom |
Cause and fix |
| After a restart without switching off (for example after a firmware update), centimetre accuracy comes back after one or two minutes instead of at once |
At start the GNSS module answered but took no commands: the station reset it and configured it again by itself. Nothing to do but wait: there is no need to switch off and on again. |
:N/A in place of the accuracy and :X in place of the satellites |
The GNSS module did not start, even after the station's own attempts (GNSS Failed at power-on). Switch off and on again, as a last resort; if it persists, contact support. |
Rover without RTK fix
First check that the station is outdoors with a clear sky and that the display counts
satellites. Then, by correction source:

Check |
| NTRIP |
A saved WiFi network is in range for the whole session; caster, mount point, user and password are right (GNSS › NTRIP client). Network services (VRS, nearest mount points) send nothing without Transmit GGA to Caster. |
| LoRa |
LoRa Radio Baud Rate equal to the radio module's speed on both stations (Ports › LoRa Radio Baud Rate); EU 868 MHz at the base (Base › RTCM Rates); Radio not on ESP-Now, which turns the LoRa port off (ESP-Now radio › Troubleshooting). |
| ESP-Now |
Radio on ESP-Now on both stations; the two paired, or Broadcast Override on at the base; a few tens of seconds for a rover just started to find the base's channel. With a network key, the same key on the base and on the rover; after a firmware update of the base, the rovers updated too. See ESP-Now radio › Troubleshooting. |
| The base |
The base sends nothing until its survey-in is over: check its display, and see Base below. |
Base
A base sends corrections only after it knows its own position: with Survey-In it first
waits for the accuracy needed, then averages, then transmits. The screens of each phase are
in The display › Waiting and survey-in,
The display › Transmitting and
The display › Casting to an NTRIP caster.
| Symptom |
Cause and fix |
The display stays on the waiting screen (base icon and crosshair blinking, current accuracy) and the survey-in never starts |
Before averaging, the base waits for a horizontal accuracy below 1 m (Required initial positional accuracy, serial menu only, 3 → 4: see Base › Survey-In). It waits with no time limit: a station stayed at 1.34 m for a whole night. Check the antenna (clear sky all round), its cable and the adapter on ANT. On a point of known coordinates use Fixed instead (Base › Fixed, geodetic coordinates). |
The survey-in starts again by itself (Mean: and Time: start again from the beginning) |
The survey-in lasted more than 15 minutes without reaching Required Mean 3D Standard Deviation: the station stays a base, waits again for the required initial accuracy and starts a new survey-in. Give the antenna an open view of the sky, improve its position, raise that value or use Fixed. |
Xmitting on the display, but the RTCM: counter does not rise |
The GNSS module produces no corrections: in Base › RTCM Rates at least one message must be above 0; Default Rates brings back the factory set. |
Casting never appears (the display stays on Xmitting) |
The base sends to the caster only once it transmits (after the survey-in, at once with Fixed), through a saved WiFi network with Internet access. In Base › NTRIP server check that Enable NTRIP Server is on and that Caster Host, Caster Port, Mount Point and Mount Point PW are the ones given by the caster. After a failure the server tries again after 15 s, 30 s and 1 minute, then every 2 minutes, with no limit; a password rejected by the caster stops it until the caster settings or the mode change or the station restarts. In the serial menu, s shows the line NTRIP Server 0 with its state (Connecting, Connected) and the number of reconnects (Reconnects). The full procedure is in RTK corrections › Base on an NTRIP caster. |
Firmware update errors
| Symptom |
Where to look |
| A message under Check for New Firmware (WiFi list is empty, Commas are not allowed, Update server not reachable…) |
The table of results in Firmware update. |
| Unknown file type with Upload BIN |
The name must start with MS2_Firmware and end with .bin; use the file without _factory: see Firmware update. |
| Error getting new firmware, repeatedly |
Usually a weak WiFi signal: check WiFi signal in WiFi. |
