MS2-net – Hardware Documentation

Welcome to the technical documentation of the MS2-net, the MS2 GNSS RTK receiver in the variant equipped with an Ethernet interface (wired network).

MS2-net is based on the ESP32-WROOM microcontroller and the u-blox ZED-F9P GNSS module (multi-band, centimetre-level RTK). Compared with the "base" MS2, the net variant adds an Ethernet port (W5500 controller) alongside the existing interfaces — WiFi, Bluetooth and USB — making the receiver suitable for fixed, networked installations:

• permanent RTK base distributing RTCM corrections over the LAN;
• NTRIP client receiving corrections from a caster over the wired network;
• integration into electrical cabinets and installations where WiFi is not reliable.

The board also includes a status OLED display, a battery with charge management, a microSD slot for logging, a status RGB LED and a buzzer.

This guide describes the architecture, technical specifications, connectors, network configuration and operation, and includes interactive 3D models that can be explored in the browser.

Note

Board photos and 3D models will be placed in `_static/img/` and `_static/models/`. Items marked *(to be confirmed)* depend on the hardware revision.
